This session is for first-time new or new-to-Nebraska principals or assistant principals. It will highlight the NCSA Networking with New Principals Program and allow you to discuss concerns as new principals. This session will be led by the Networking Leadership Team, which has years of successful experience in Nebraska schools. Please join us, as this session is critical to getting your year and career as a Nebraska Administrator off to a great start.
This session is designed for "New First-Time Superintendents in Nebraska" for the 24/25 school year and other Superintendents who are "New to Nebraska" for the 24/25 school year. Information will be shared regarding the support and collaboration available for these individuals from NCSA. NCSA will be sponsoring monthly Zoom sessions during the 24/25 school year regarding various topics and resources. The schedule of these zooms will be shared during this session. Finally, because collaboration is so critical, new Superintendents who attend this session will be given the opportunity to interact with their colleagues who are in similar new positions.
Participants in this session will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of school improvement initiatives developed by graduate students from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL). During the gallery walk, participants may review program designs, interact with aspiring school leaders, and meet members of the EDAD Department. Please come and review these innovative school improvement initiatives and engage in conversation about ways to impact student achievement and student success in Nebraska schools.
This session is for athletic/activities directors and/or aspiring athletic/activities directors. Many of us are facing budget crunches, leaving us with shrinking or eliminated funds to provide professional development opportunities for our coaches and sponsors. We will explore some ways you can create and provide free or low-cost professional development for your coaching staff. We will also examine the purpose of evaluations and how to use them as a tool for growth among those you lead.
