Administrators' Days

Indicator 13 (Transition) is both a state and federal area of focus. Recent changes to the age of onset (14) and the increased file review emphasis for students of transition age of all disability areas (yes, including behavior) have challenged administrators and staff to provide quality and compliant transition services. This session examines the "need to know," "nice to know," and "ya better know" about transition for administrators. Presenters will explain Indicator 13, the difference between transition programs and transition programming (and it's a doozy), and the importance of individualizing transition consideration (who gets services) and programming (how they get services) for all students with IEPs.
